Background

Monique Sullivan is the Environmental Advocate for Environment Minnesota, based in Minneapolis. 

Monique has worked as the Minnesota Field Organizer for Environment America in Minneapolis since the fall of 2006.  Prior to that, she spent four years as a Citizen Outreach Director, first for U.S. PIRG in Louisiana, working with state and national environmental groups across the country to reduce mercury contamination from coal-fired power plants, and then for Environment California, working to reduce California’s global warming pollution.  Monique also worked to strengthen California's role as a leader in the use of solar power. 

She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and received a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of New Orleans.
