Background

Samantha Chadwick is a Minnesota native and grew up enjoying the great Minnesota outdoors. Sam played a lot of soccer growing up and continues to do a lot of cross-country skiing, birding, camping and canoeing. She especially enjoys competing in the Midwest’s great citizen ski races each year, like the Vasaloppet and the Birkebeiner.

Sam graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2006 with a degree in biology. Sam has done conservation work and botany field research across the state and also worked as an outdoor gear specialist and ski coach.

Prior to joining Environment Minnesota staff, Sam directed the Minneapolis canvass office with the Fund for the Public Interest, doing citizen outreach on environmental and social justice issues.
