Environment Minnesota Staff

Michelle grew up in Saint Paul and recently graduated from Carleton College with a degree in political science.  She learned to play hockey at Carleton and has continued to play with a team in the Twin Cities.  She also greatly enjoys canoeing and camping, particularly in Minnesota’s North Woods where she previously worked as a trail counselor guiding youth trips in the Boundary Waters. In school, she advocated for social justice and environmental issues with MPIRG and served on that organization’s board of directors for two years.  She also worked as a sustainability assistant and writing consultant at Carleton.
